THREE PHASES OF CARE

PHASE I: Relief Care / Acute Care

Relief care is what we focus on when someone comes into our office in pain. The priority is to get you feeling better as quickly as possible. Adjustments are given to restore movement to inflamed joints which gives relief to nerves and muscles.
Since recent and chronic conditions cause the spine to be unstable, more frequent adjustments are needed in the beginning phase in order to train the spine back to its natural state. No two cases are exactly alike, however it’s typical to need care 2-3 times per week for 4-6 weeks.

PHASE II: Corrective Care / Sub-acute Care

During this phase, the tissues and muscles are able to heal more completely which prevents injury. Stability is returning now and pain has likely decreased or disappeared, but there is likely muscle and ligament strain remaining. Visits become less frequent at this point but are still very important in order to maintain the progress made with the spine and avoid a relapse. While no two people will be the same, the average treatment frequency will begin at 2 visits per week and down to 1 visit a week over 2-3 months.

PHASE III: WELLNESS CARE / Prevention

At this point, your spine has regained stability, strength and control! Continuing a wellness way of life (regular physical activity, smart nutrition, and managing stress effectively) and weekly visits to the chiropractor for spinal health management is the best way to prevent future injury, pain and degeneration.
